The debate about carbon offsetting certainly seems to be hotting up. Some see it as a panacea to our climate problems, others see it is a way to attempt to ”buy your way out of trouble”, rather than making a real change in lifestyle. Whatever your thoughts on offsetting, doing it is certainly better than not doing it. Also, choosing a short-haul destination closer to home can make a huge difference to your holiday emissions. For example, flying to Sweden from the UK generates 13 times less emissions than a trip to Australia. For a selection of responsible travel experiences in Sweden (with the option to offset your emissions through partnership with Climate Care) you may like to take a look at Nature Travels holidays in Sweden.
