Its ironic that discovery of such rich wild life in civil-war torn Sudan, only proves that for wild animals to survive and flourish, humans need to be busy warring each other and not bother the animals.

For the team that discovered these massive herds, it must have been amazing.

In such a over populated human earth, for so much of wild life to exist is nothing short of a miracle.

Hope the discovery helps is taking measures in conserving this region and not tempting poachers and hunters to decimate the wild.
